The drive to work. Folk Style

These bands are worth checking out. You probably won't hear them played on any local stations. Sorry. But hey, you can always listen Nickleback on the radio instead. At least five times an hour.....


Midlake. "Roscoe" or "Young Bride" These guys are a great band. Their music arrangement is excellent. The songs tell some pretty cool stories too.

Iron and Wine. "Boy with a coin" These guys have an amazing talent for song and music writing. It makes for great music to day dream at work to.

Colin Meloy/Decemberists. "California One/Youth and Beauty Brigade"

Sufjan Stevens. "Abraham" Sufjan can write a interesting song about anything. Check out "John Wayne Gacy Jr." It's a beautiful song about a serial killer. We're all sinners just like him.

Beirut. "Nantes" This song makes me want to buy an accordion. To bad that I would have to sell my car and a kidney to come up with that kind of cash. By the way, the studio version is an organ. The live version is accordion. The live version is much more interesting. Also look up "Elephant Gun" and "Postcards From Italy"
